We are a people who have been shone on, flooded with and thrilled by the most sparkling, colorful, and lovely treasure on the face of the earth; a treasure all of nature has been infused with. It continually shouts aloud to us--and to all with an ear for its voices--of the wonder of its delights. That treasure is life.

One of the first times we laid eyes on this treasure and began to know what it was...was in birth. We began to see its vast richness revealed to us by receiving into our hands its precious newness embodied in a baby. Time and again we were granted to gaze on this wonder and would come away feeling as though our hands were dusted with gold.

Our eyes began to be opened to the beauty of life all around us, mostly in each other. Life began to draw us together, weaving Himself throughout our daily lives. We looked around to find ourselves together, enmeshed in a tapestry so breathtaking kings would have sold entire kingdoms to possess it. We found Life to be a being and rich tapestry, His garment, and He became Master to us. And though we have handled many different pieces of this treasure, one of the very dearest to our hearts is seeing life come forth in its morning of birth and beholding His power in the face of a baby.
